The Creatures, Friday at Metro: Vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and drummer Budgie have always projected an exotic aura -- both as Siouxsie and the Banshees and in their resuscitated side project, the Creatures. The duo's long-awaited new LP, "Anima Animus," finds them conjuring up an otherworldly, pagan musical Xanadu from sinister dance grooves, Budgie's tribal drum-marimba work and Siouxsie's strange and unsettling lyrics. It's a bit of an act, but the Creatures vividly evoke a dark, distant, faraway place. 3730 N. Clark St. 773-549-0203.
